Welcome Back, Sunshine…
Returning to the Mat (and to Myself)
There comes a point where you realize you can’t go back to who you were before everything changed.
And for me, a lot has changed.
Grief, responsibility, growth, uncertainty… the kind of life transitions that don’t just shift your schedule… they shift your identity. The way you move through the world. The way you relate to your body. The way you define “work,” “purpose,” and even “energy.”
For a while, I wasn’t trying to build anything. I was just trying to be in it. To take care of what needed to be taken care of. To show up where life was asking me to show up.
But something has been quietly rebuilding underneath all of that.
Not in a rushed way. Not in a “what’s next?” panic.
In a grounded way.
Rebuilding From a Different Place
I don’t want to restart my career from pressure, comparison, or urgency.
I’ve done that before.
This time, I’m rebuilding from connection.
From the body.
From breath.
From presence.
From actually living the practices that I teach.
Right now, a lot of my energy is going inward: into my own yoga practice on the mat, into deepening my relationship with my body, and into refining how I move, stabilize, and strengthen through Yoga and Pilates.
Not for aesthetics.
Not for validation.
But because I can feel how much it’s changing me.
Physically, yes… but more importantly, mentally and energetically.
There’s a steadiness that’s returning. A clarity. A sense of trust in my body again.
And that changes everything about how I teach.
Teaching From Experience, Not Performance
If you’ve taken my class before, you probably know this already… but I’m not interested in simply teaching from a script.
I’m not interested in perfectly curated sequences that look good on paper but don’t land in the body.
What I care about is how it feels.
How we arrive.
How we move.
How we stay.
Every class I’m teaching right now is coming directly from what I’m working through and discovering in my own practice.
The long holds.
The slow openings.
The moments where you’re asked to sit with sensation instead of rushing past it.
That’s where the real work is.
That’s where things shift.
Where You Can Practice With Me
Right now, I’m teaching weekly:
Monday mornings at 9:30AM at Tula Yoga for Wellness and Saturdays on Rotation
This space has been a constant for me: grounded, intentional, and deeply rooted in the true practice of yoga. My mentor Kathy, who has guided me for the past 8 years, has built something that prioritizes depth over trend, and I’m grateful to teach within that container.
If you’re looking for a class that meets you where you are, allows you to slow down, and actually feel what you’re doing, I would love to have you there.

This Is Just the Beginning (Again)
I don’t have everything mapped out right now.
And honestly, that’s intentional.
What I do have is a strong foundation.
A deeper connection to myself.
A renewed respect for my body.
And a clear desire to teach from a place that is real, not rushed.
This isn’t a “comeback.”
It’s a recalibration.
And if you’re in a season of rebuilding too… quietly, intentionally, without needing to rush it, you’re not behind.
You’re just doing it right.
